Spotify Application

We are all very much into music at the twenty4 office and there’s always music playing in the background while we work. We’re kind of lucky that we all have reasonably similar music tastes. No-one is into Norwegian death metal or Captain and Tenille.

We have a Mac Mini server. It’s an amazing little thing that we can all remote login to and choose music for the office. We used to use iTunes but now Spotify has pretty much made iTunes redundant and we are continually favouriting the green circle icon instead of the blue circle icon.

We have speakers in the back part of the office and the new Beolit 12 in the front part of the office which has Airplay built in. We can all choose music and control the volume of either speaker from any computer in the office or from our iPhones. We can even pump it into the TV in the boardroom if we like using Apple TV!

Spotify has made everything so much easier. There’s no storage of music so it frees up space on the server. We can choose practically any song ever recorded. We can make and share playlists easily.
